Before continuing:

There are a hell lot of spoilers about the story below. Most of these theories have a chance to get wrong. If you haven’t read the manga or the Webtoon. I would recommend skipping this read.

You can get a review of the series here: https://animeloved.com/blog/why-you-should-watch-read-one-punch-man/

The Egyptian God of Son: Saitama

The theory states that Saitama is the Egyptian God of the Sun named Ra. Ra is one of the most prominent Egyptian deities. He ruled over all parts of the world, the sky, the earth, and the underworld. His representations are in many forms, a human form, a beetle, and a falcon.

King is considered the Atem form and Saitama is the human one. It has always been the saying that, Saitama and King are the two sides of the same coin. They both represent absolute power.

King is the representation of who everyone sees as absolute power and Saitama is the absolute power. Many times such hints are given to support the theory.

Saitama is defeated

Many of the show’s characters are based on Egyptian mythology. Saitama relates in many ways to Ra, the God of the Sun. So, relating to this theory.

There is the possibility of Psychos going to poison Saitama with his own powers.

Watch Dog is a Monster

In the webcomic, it was revealed that My Mask is ama monster. Considering this theme, I believe this will be a recurring one within the Hero association.

If you look at all the storylines and the narratives in the series they all connect. So, many have come up with the theory that there is a common source to all these powers. Monsters and Heroes get their powers from a common source.

All the evidence point toward Watch Dog turning into a monster. I believe even Black shine will become one too.

Creation of the God

My Mask explains that a long time ago, many nations fought against each other for land and resources. With countless world wars, the population decreased until humans began prioritizing future generations.

The war led to increasing environmental toxicity and caused rapid climate change. This gave birth to a lot of harmful life forms.

Since Earth is a life form in itself. It might have undergone monterification and might have gained consciousness. Maybe this consciousness turned into God. It created all the monsters and the Heroes.

Blast is not Saitama

There is another theory going around of Vlast being Saitama. Unfortunately, the evidence talks differently. When Blast saves Tatsumaki from the facility where she was a child.

This happens 18 years before the current story, Meaning Saitama who is 25 currently would have been 7 years old back then.

We see Saitama when he was 12 years old in a bonus chapter. He has back then no special abilities and was bullied.

Another Related Theory:

*Though, the theory that Blast is Saitama from the future is not ruled out.

*There is another theory that Saitama doesn’t remember that he is Blast because he got Amnesia back in the day.

*Another one is that Blast gave Saitama his powers for some reason.

Saitama is Blast

Theorists claim that there is some multiversal time paradox thing going on.

Blast and Saitama are the same people existing in the same reality.

Prophecy Explained

The great seer Shibabawa was looking in her crystal ball. She saw something that shocked her. She said that a storm of calamity will approach and the end is near. Late she unfortunately died.

The threat was predicted to be within 6 months. The actual prophecy was revealed in chapter 115 that God will resurrect on Earth when a worthy sacrifice will be offered.

Who is the sacrifice?

One theory states Orochi will be the worthy sacrifice and God will be resurrected.

“Psychos” does create Orochi after the vision that she saw.

I believe at the end it will be revealed how God is behind all this. Orchestrating all these moves.

Saitama is just a Speedster

It is a possibility that Saitama gains all his powers from his super speed. Maybe the One final punch that we are shown is a combination of many fast punches.

The story has a lot of speedsters, the purple hooded sonic guy, and Genos is one of the fastest in the universe too. Both always have a humbling experience when they face Saitama. Who knows, maybe Saitama is the greatest speedster who ever lived.

His super strength and other abilities might just be related side powers.

All of it is a Dream

The city is flooded with continuous monster attacks. Yet all the people live in the metropolis. All of the monsters spawn nearby to Saitama. Many of such questions make us question reality.

Fans have come up with the theory that it all is a part of a dream.

In some scenes, Saitama is shown fighting and then waking up in a dream. It can be thought that it all was a kind of joke.

Saitama is the Villain

In theory power of Saitama seems awesome. In reality, it is more like a curse He is able to defeat anyone without breaking a sweat, and the strongest person alive.

Though if you look at all the Saitama’s heroics it is actually a curse. He has caused a lot of damage and killed millions. He has likely destroyed the planet multiple times over his carelessness.

The first example is, In his first encounter with Beefcake. The resulting damage was immense. It is the perfect example of how he doesn’t take the consequences seriously. Considering that he likely killed thousands of people.

Saitama against the God

This arc has been building slowly. We have been hinted throughout the series about a big fight going to happen. The final end of the series is Saitama against God. This endgame has been hiding in plain sight.

God is so massive that he has to be in a fetal position to fit inside the moon. He is able to communicate with humans telepathically in several ways. The cubes shown in the webtoon are somehow related to this bigger part of the story.

Saitama against God- Top 20 One Punch Man Theories You Probably Never Know

God has been spreading his disciples, giving them powers. At the right time, I think it would be Saitama against his disciples. And then finally an intense fight between Saitama and God.

Saitama has Alien origins

It is a known fact that One Punch man is a parody of many superhero shows. I believe the creator could hint at Saitama being an Alien-like Superman and Dr. Manhattan.

Saitama in the first season of the anime had no challenge at all. Until came an alien named Lord Boros. Saitama shares many similar characteristics with this alien. Both are super powerful and can’t find any worthy opponent.

Maybe Saitama also has similar origins as Boros and is an alien.

One Punch Man and My Hero Academia are the same

Many theorists have come up with the theory of One Punch man being connected with My Hero Academia. The most plausible reason is that both became popular at the same time.

There is a chance that One Punch man is a future version of My Hero Academia. The theory goes on to explain the powers of Saitama from the “One for All” quirk. This quirk is the one that Deku and All might have.

Though the differences in both worlds are huge. They could exist in parallel universes or on some other planet. A possibility of a crossover between the two shows is never relegated.

What a crossover it would be!

Concluding Remarks

Though most of these theories are blind shots. But getting into this debate is a part of the journey too. If I got any theory right you know to thank.
